When I'm an Old Woman

I shall wear purple...

And knit purple...

And inhale 947 page romantic novels...

This is the second book in the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.
If you've been living in a cave, Outlander is currently being made into a 16 hour mini-series for "Starz" channel (which I don't currently subscribe to!)

I knit my scarf using a pattern by Lisa Bruce called Favorite Scarf Ever.  The yarn is from Lorna's Laces in the Christmas at Downton colorway.

There's nothing like a romantic historic novel, fun knitting and a glass of wine to chase away the bleak winter blahs!

  1. Love this post. Your purple theme is fabulous and the scarf is perfection.

I am a huge Outlander fan - have read the books several times over the past twenty years. Have you listed to the Audible books? Narrator Davina Porter is amazing - plus listening to the books allows you to "read" and knit at the same time. I've read most of the companion books or "bulges" as Diana calls them. Dangerous Women just arrived in the mail yesterday and I can hardly wait to read about Jamie and Ian's days when they were young men. I can't wait for the Starz series to come out. Sigh.

    Happy knitting and reading!

  2. Ack! We don't get Starz - bugging my husband to work that one out before summer. BTW - ran into a friend of yours when I went to the Boy Scout store to buy a Christmas gift for my grandson! Small world! Love your blog - so creative!
